The Good Dog Club

Your Dog Goes to Work While You Do.

Drop off a good dog. Pick up a better one.

Weekdays at The Barking Barley, your dog spends the day in our off-leash park with a dedicated, full-time trainer. They play hard, practice real manners, and rest up between sessions. When you pick up at the park, your favorite drink is ready and waiting while you hear how the day went.

More than a place to spend the day

Most drop-off spots are built to keep dogs busy. The Good Dog Club is built to make them better.

Every Club day mixes off-leash play with real training, so your dog burns off energy and learns something while doing it. Practicing around other dogs, noise, and real distractions is where good manners actually stick. Your couch cushions will thank you.

And we keep it small. We cap every club trainer at 10 dogs, so your dog gets real time with the trainer instead of getting lost in a crowd.

How a Club day works

Drop-off from 8 AM – Walk in, hand over the leash, and get on with your day.

Play in the park – Supervised off-leash play in our 6,000 sq ft park, with the splash pad and dog playground built in.

Train with a pro – Training sessions are worked into the day, on skills like recall, polite greetings, and focus around distractions.

Rest and recharge – Shade, water, and downtime between sessions. A good day has a rhythm.

Pick-up by 5 PM, plus the Tail Report – Pick up right at the park, where your favorite drink is ready for you, and get the Tail Report from the trainer: what your dog worked on, who they played with, and what to keep practicing at home.

Club FAQs

How is the Good Dog Club different from a regular drop-off?

Training is built into every day. Your dog spends the day playing and learning with a dedicated trainer, and you get the Tail Report at pick-up so you know exactly what they worked on.

No. The Club is for good dogs and good dogs in progress. The evaluation tells us where your dog is starting from.

Not every dog is ready for group play on day one, and that’s okay. If your dog doesn’t pass, they won’t be able to join the Club just yet. Instead, they can work one-on-one with the trainers at Obedience Kings to build the skills they need. Once that training is complete, they’re welcome to join the Club.

Yes. Club days include group play. Later in the day, when the park opens to the Pack, Club dogs may join in with other park pups while our Ruffarees are on hand.

Your dog’s day, told by the trainer at pick-up: what they practiced, how they did, who they played with, and what to work on at home.

Small groups mean real training time for every dog. It’s also why Club days fill up.

Your days are locked in when you enroll, because every Club day is capped at 10 dogs. If you need to change a day, give us at least 48 hours’ notice and we’ll do our best to make it work. Changes depend on available space, so they can’t be guaranteed.

Nope. Pack membership is already included in every Club plan.

Right at the park. Your favorite drink will be ready, and the trainer will give you the Tail Report.

Every Club plan has a six-month commitment. Good habits take time to stick, and six months gives your dog the runway to really show what they’ve learned.
