Hot Dog Reading Club

The Hot Dog Reading Club
A Summer Reading Program for Kids
Every great adventure starts with a great book — and a great hot dog.
Introducing the Hot Dog Reading Club, a summer reading program for kids that rewards curious readers with the most important question in literature: What’s for lunch?
Here’s how it works:

Pick up your free Hot Dog Reading Club card at any of these participating locations:
- Novel Books
- Tales and Tails
- Riverby Books
- The Barking Barley
- Sure Shot Screen Printing
- Illusions Wraps
- Metro Nova Creative
- The Fredericksburg Visitor Center
Read 10 books this summer — your choice, your pace, honor system. Have a parent check off the doggie on the back of your card for each book you finish.
Once all 10 pups are checked off, bring your completed card to The Barking Barley and claim your reward:
🌭 A free Hot Dog Lunch — The Pup, Lay’s potato chips, and a soda
🐾 An exclusive Hot Dog Reading Club sticker
The program runs through August 15. After that, it’s back to school — so read fast, read often, and we’ll see you in the park.
The Hot Dog Reading Club is free to join. No purchase necessary to participate. Redemption at The Barking Barley only. One redemption per completed card.
